Meet Rudy

Rudy has one simple wish.

To be wherever her people are.

If you're on the couch, she'll be right beside you. If you're heading to bed, she'll gladly help keep it warm. She doesn't ask for much. She just wants to be loved and included.

Before coming to Made a Promise Rescue, Rudy found herself loose multiple times. A kindhearted Good Samaritan brought her to safety out of concern for her well-being. Sadly, no one ever came looking for her.

Fortunately, that became the beginning of a much brighter chapter.

The Promise We Made to Rudy

When Rudy came to Made a Promise Rescue, we made her a promise.

She would always be treated with the love, kindness, and compassion she deserved from the very beginning.

No more uncertainty.

No more wondering if someone was coming.

Only safety, love, and a future filled with people who would cherish her.

Personality

Rudy is loving, gentle, kind, and incredibly sweet.

She doesn't want to be left out of anything. She simply wants to be near her people, soaking up every bit of love and affection she can. If she could crawl into your skin just to be a little closer, she probably would.

She's an amazing cuddler, happily keeps the bed nice and toasty, and has a way of making every cuddle last just a little longer.

As she's settled into foster care, more of her playful, fun personality has started to shine through. Watching her confidence grow has been one of the sweetest parts of her journey.

In the Home

Rudy is still learning that she's safe.

She enjoys following her people from room to room and being included in everyday life. She does experience some separation anxiety and will benefit from a family that's patient while she continues building confidence and learning that her people always come back.

With Other Dogs

We haven't seen enough to know for certain how Rudy will do with other dogs, but based on her gentle nature, we think she'd likely enjoy a calm canine companion.

With People

Rudy absolutely loves people.

She forms deep bonds and wants nothing more than to be close to the people she loves. Whether she's curled up beside you on the couch or snuggled up at bedtime, she's happiest when she's with her family.

We truly believe Rudy is going to be someone's soul dog.

With Kids

Rudy has done well with children.

Because she's such a gentle and sensitive girl, she'd do best with children who are kind, patient, and respectful.

With Cats

We haven't seen Rudy around cats or other small animals.

Training & Care

Rudy knows some basic commands and appears to be mostly potty trained.

With continued consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, she'll continue to blossom.

Ideal Home

Rudy simply wants a family that wants her just as much as she wants them.

A home where she'll be included, cuddled, loved deeply, and never have to question whether she belongs.

A Note from the Foster

Sweet. Soft. Loving. Playful.

Rudy is all of those things wrapped into one beautiful little girl. Every day she becomes a little more comfortable, and every day another piece of her personality shines through.

Promise Pup Highlight

If Rudy could choose where to spend every moment of every day, she'd choose right beside the people she loves.

The Promise Moving Forward

We promise Rudy that she will always be loved, always be cherished, and always have a place where she belongs.

We'll keep that promise until the day she finally goes home.
