Meet Rockette

There is just something about Rockette. Maybe it is her perfectly blended tricolor coat. Maybe it is the way she melts at your feet the second you give her attention. Or maybe it is that happy wiggly tail that greets everyone like they are her long lost best friend.

The promise we made to Rockette

When Rockette entered our program, we made her a simple promise. We promised to always be gentle with her and to find her a loving home where she can feel safe and adored.

Personality

Rockette has a fun and loving personality. She may look a little timid at first glance, but give her a second and she warms up quickly. She loves everyone she meets and greets them with that full body wiggle. Once she gets attention, she is all in. Affection is her love language.

In the Home

Rockette is currently living in a foster home and has settled in beautifully. She sleeps quietly in her kennel overnight and goes in without being told. During the day, she is trusted to roam freely while her foster parents are away and spends that time snoozing on the couch like an angel.

She is potty trained and lets her foster family know when she needs to go outside. Because the yard has only a partial fence, she is taken out on leash and does her business without issue.

With Other Dogs

Her personality with other dogs is currently unknown.

With People

Rockette absolutely loves meeting new people. When she greets someone, she will get low at their feet until she receives attention, and then she is inseparable until they leave. She is working on not getting too excited and jumpy during greetings and is learning quickly. She does well with visitors of all sizes.

With Kids

Her personality with kids is unknown. Based on her energy and excitement when meeting people, she would likely do best in a home with older kids.

Training and Care

Rockette already knows sit, lay, and wait. She is currently working on taking treats gently and staying calm when meeting new people. She responds well to structure and is learning quickly with consistency.

She does have a medium prey drive toward squirrels and cats, so a home without cats or small animals is important for her success.

Ideal Home

Rockette would thrive in a gentle home that also provides clear structure and routine. She enjoys affection but can also be independent, making her an easy companion to have around. A family that will continue reinforcing her manners and give her both love and boundaries will help her flourish.

A Note from the Foster

Rockette is such an easy girl to foster. She is extremely loving but also perfectly content doing her own thing. Watching her slowly discover the joy of toys has been so sweet. She is incredibly gentle with them and just as gentle with our hearts.

Promise Pup Highlight

Her tricolor coat is almost textbook perfect. The way her colors blend together is stunning. She is a gorgeous girl on the outside and an even more beautiful, loving soul on the inside.

The Promise Moving Forward

We promised Rockette that we would be gentle and that we would find her a loving home. Now we are just waiting for the right person to see what we see every day.

If you think Rockette might be your girl, we would love for you to meet her. A promise was made. And we intend to keep it. 🐾
