The promise we made to Matilda

Matilda came into rescue through Missouri Pit Bull Rescue as one of the precious triplets born to mama Marmee. She and her sisters were very sick when they entered the program and needed lots of care to pull through. Matilda has grown up under loving foster care and shown just how happy, confident, and resilient she is. We promised Matilda safety, support, and the time she needs to grow into the perfect companion, and we’re committed to keeping that promise until she finds her forever family.

Personality

Matilda is a happy, confident, and balanced pup with a big smile and an even bigger heart. She’s playful without being overwhelming and snuggly when it’s time to chill. After she’s burned off some zoomies, she’ll happily curl up beside you for affection and cuddles. She’s social, outgoing, and ready to charm everyone she meets.

In the Home

In her foster home, Matilda has been thriving. She’s is potty trained and crate trained. She loves being included in daily life and adjusts well to home routines that mix playtime, training, and rest.

With Other Dogs and People

Matilda is outgoing and friendly with people and appears to treat new faces like old friends. As for dogs, Matilda may do well with proper introductions, she could fit into a home with a compatible canine companion.

Training and Care

Matilda is a smart and food motivated learner. She already knows commands like sit, shake, down, roll over, and touch, and she loves training sessions that challenge her mind. Continued positive training will be fun for her and help her build confidence and skills.

Ideal Home

Matilda would thrive in a home that loves to include their dog in everyday life, enjoys regular walks and playtime, and continues her training with kindness and consistency. A family with older kids or a calm canine playmate who matches her energy would be a great fit.

Matilda brings joy to every moment. She’s confident, silly, and loving, and she makes even everyday routines feel fun. She’s a loyal and affectionate friend who loves people and playtime and then settles right into cuddle mode when the moment feels right.
