Meet Jude
Jude spent far too much of her life being valued for what she could produce instead of who she was.
Now she's making up for lost time.
She races through the yard with joyful zoomies, proudly squeaks her toys, melts into your lap for cuddles, and reminds everyone around her that she's finally getting to be the carefree dog she was always meant to be.
The Promise We Made to Jude
When Jude came to Made a Promise Rescue, we made her a simple promise.
That she would be valued for who she is, not what she could produce.
That she'd never have to be a mom again.
From now on, Jude gets to be the baby forever.

Personality
Jude is equal parts silly, affectionate, and full of life.
If she had to rank her favorite things, her list would probably go: food, squeaky toys, and people. (People still make the podium.)
Petting Jude is an experience. She melts into you for cuddles, then every few seconds has what can only be described as tiny cuddle zoomies. She wiggles, bounces, readjusts, and somehow gets even closer before doing it all over again. It's delightfully chaotic, completely endearing, and guaranteed to make you laugh.
She has a beautiful way of making you forget everything else for a while just by being her joyful, goofy self.
In the Home
Jude has settled in beautifully in her foster home.
She enjoys running and playing when she's outside, then stretching out for a nice sunbath before coming inside for affection. When her foster family is away, she stays in her own bedroom and has done very well with that routine. She hasn't been destructive and has shown she's happy relaxing until her people come home.
With Other Dogs
Jude passed her dog assessment but didn't seem particularly interested in the other dogs. She was comfortable sharing the space and mostly seemed content doing her own thing.
With People
People are what Jude loves most.
Even when she was raising puppies, her foster says all she really wanted was to be the center of attention. She thrives on affection and happily soaks up every cuddle she can get.
One thing her foster has noticed is that Jude seems especially eager to please. She's very responsive to gentle correction and sometimes squints or ducks her head slightly when someone reaches over the top of it to pet her. While we can't know exactly why, it makes us wonder if she wasn't always treated with the kindness she deserved.
These days, we're making sure she learns that hands are only there for love.
With Kids
Jude enjoys children, but because she's a strong girl who gets excited during play and zoomies, we think she'd be happiest with older kids who won't be accidentally knocked over.
She also gets pretty excited about her toys and isn't always the most delicate player.
With Cats
We don't know how Jude would do with cats or other small animals.
Training & Care
Jude knows some basic commands and has been potty trained with little to no accidents in her foster home.
She is incredibly food motivated and eager to please, which makes her a wonderful candidate for continued training. She responds well to kind guidance and seems happiest when she knows exactly what's expected of her.
Ideal Home
Jude's perfect home is one filled with love, consistency, and structure.
She deserves a family that helps her feel confident, never worried about making a mistake. Someone who enjoys throwing a squeaky toy, laughing at her zoomies, then spending the rest of the evening cuddling with a very happy girl.
A Note from the Foster
Jude is a beauty with the heart to match.
She's wonderfully silly in a way that makes you feel like she's finally getting to experience the puppyhood she never really had. Watching her simply enjoy life is one of the greatest gifts.
Promise Pup Highlight
Jude spent years raising puppies.
Now it's finally her turn to be the one everyone oohs and aahs over.
The Promise Moving Forward
We promised Jude she'd never again be loved for what she could give people.
From this day forward, she'll be loved simply because she's Jude.
We'll keep that promise until she's home, happy, and forever someone's baby.
