Meet Cadence
Not long ago, Cadence's world looked very different.
She was found tied up in a backyard on a short leash, tangled and unable to move freely. She had no protection from the summer sun, no clean water, and no food. Thankfully, someone recognized she was suffering and reported it. That call changed her life forever.
Fast forward to today, and Cadence is finally experiencing something she may have never known before...love, safety, and a full belly. Watching her learn what it means to be part of a family has been nothing short of incredible.
At just a year old, Cadence has the playful spirit of a young dog, a heart full of love, and her whole future ahead of her.
The Promise We Made to Cadence
We promised Cadence she would never be abandoned or left to starve ever again. From this day forward, her life would be be filled with love, full meals, and people who cherish her.

Personality
Cadence is the best of both worlds. She has all the fun and athleticism of a young dog while already showing wonderful manners. She's eager to learn, loves being part of the family, and has a sweet, gentle personality that shines brighter every day.
She can be a little timid when meeting new people, but with a little patience her affectionate side quickly takes over. Once she trusts you, she'll happily soak up every bit of love you have to give.
In the Home
Cadence is thriving in her foster home, where she has settled into a consistent routine. She spends time relaxing in her kennel, enjoys free time around the house, and absolutely loves playing in the yard.
She's done wonderfully living with other dogs and continues to grow more confident every day.
With Other Dogs
If Cadence could choose, she'd probably have a canine best friend.
She absolutely loves other dogs and is happiest when she has someone to play with. She has a submissive play style, takes corrections well, and reads other dogs' cues appropriately. Because she's still young and playful, her enthusiasm may be a little much for senior dogs who prefer a quieter lifestyle.
We think she'd thrive with another playful dog who enjoys running, wrestling, and burning off energy together.
With People
Cadence loves people and forms strong bonds with those she trusts. She may be a little timid when meeting someone new, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and loving personality shines through.
With Kids
Cadence has had limited experience with younger children in her foster home. As with any dog, thoughtful introductions and supervision are recommended while everyone gets to know each other.
With Cats
Cadence has shown a strong desire to chase rabbits, so we do not think a home with cats or other small animals would be the best fit.
Training and Care
Cadence has done well with potty training and kennel training in her foster home. She already knows "sit," "stay," and "shake," and she's continuing to make great progress learning leash manners. She's a smart girl who enjoys learning and responds well to consistency and positive reinforcement.
Ideal Home
Cadence would thrive with an active family that enjoys getting outside and including their dog in everyday adventures. She would especially love a home with another playful dog who enjoys having a best friend to wrestle, run, and play with.
Whether it's backyard zoomies, neighborhood walks, or weekend adventures, Cadence is happiest when she's active, learning, and surrounded by the people and dogs she loves.
A Note from the Foster
It's amazing to watch a dog who once knew so little kindness discover what it feels like to be loved. Cadence is incredibly sweet, well mannered, and has such a bright future ahead of her.
Promise Pup Highlight
From surviving to thriving. Sweet, athletic, playful, and ready for the life she's always deserved. 🤍
The Promise Moving Forward
Cadence's story could have ended very differently, but someone chose to speak up for her.
We promised her she would never again be forgotten, hungry, or abandoned. Now we're looking for the family who will make that same promise and give this incredible girl the forever home she's waited so patiently for.
