Meet Emmett Kelly - a 4-year-old heartthrob with the gentlest soul

Emmett Kelly is truly one of those dogs who makes an impression the moment you meet him. Sweet, loving, and endlessly devoted, he's currently living in a foster home where he's proving just how wonderful he is in a real home environment. His foster family calls him the perfect house guest-and it's easy to see why!

Emmett is fully house trained and does great free roaming while his family is at work, with no issues at all. He has lovely leash manners and prefers relaxed, leisurely strolls where he can take in the world at his own pace. With a low-to-medium energy level, Emmett is happiest balancing calm walks, playtime, and lots of snuggles. Emmett Kelly would thrive in a one dog home. He really wants all the attention of his humans.

Speaking of snuggles-Emmett is a total Velcro dog. He loves being close to his people and will happily follow you from room to room, always ready to supervise chores or curl up nearby. He adores cuddling, is kid-friendly, and absolutely loves visitors, greeting everyone with a gentle, affectionate demeanor.

Toys make Emmett's day-especially balls, which are a clear favorite. He's also a big fan of treats (no surprise there!) and even enjoys bath time, taking it all in stride like the easygoing gentleman he is. During his Dog Day Out adventures and overnight stays, Emmett showed just how calm, affectionate, and trusting he can be-lounging on couches, napping in laps, and soaking up every ounce of love offered.

After struggling with the stress of shelter life, it's been incredibly rewarding to see Emmett relax and truly shine in foster care. Once he feels safe, his playful, loving personality blossoms, and it's clear he's meant to be someone's loyal companion and best friend.
